This Privacy Policy describes how The Lead You Need LLC (Florida limited liability company; also operating as TLYN LLC / “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use theleadyouneed.com and related services (the “Service”).

SMS / Messaging (carrier-required disclosures)

If you opt in to our SMS program (for example via our web form at /sms-signup), we may send transactional text messages to our contractor customers about their orders and accounts — for example: notice that a purchased file or order is ready, a receipt or invoice pointer for that order, and replies to support questions the customer initiated. This program is not used for promotional blasts, inventory offers, prospecting, or lead-availability notices. Opt-in is recorded with an auditable consent record (phone, name, the exact consent language shown, timestamp, IP, and user agent). You control messaging: STOP ends messages; HELP returns help instructions.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Program is intended for U.S. mobile numbers.

Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account and profile details (name, email, business name, trade, service area).
• Contact details you submit (including mobile number when you opt in to SMS).
• Form submissions (beta interest, feedback, data-API terms acceptance, SMS consent).
• Communications you send us (email, support messages).

Information collected automatically

• Device and log data (IP address, browser/user agent, pages viewed, approximate time of access).
• Cookies or similar technologies needed for auth, security, and basic site operation.

Public and third-party data we process for the product

• Public-record property and permit-related data used to power lead and intelligence products for B2B customers.
• Payment-related metadata from our payment processor when you purchase (we do not store full card numbers on our servers).

How we use information

• Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service.
• Match contractors with platform-exclusive leads and deliver account-related notices.
• Send SMS only when you have opted in, subject to the disclosures above.
• Process payments, prevent fraud/abuse, and enforce our Terms.
• Comply with law and respond to lawful requests.
• Communicate about product updates, support, and (where allowed) marketing — email marketing includes unsubscribe; SMS requires prior opt-in and honors STOP.

How we share information

• Service providers who help us run the Service (hosting, email delivery, SMS delivery, payments, analytics) under contracts that limit use to providing services for us.
• Contractors / customers receive lead or product data they purchase — not your SMS consent list for third-party marketing.
• Legal and safety when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of the Service.
• Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Policy’s spirit.

Again: We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your SMS consent with any third party for marketing purposes.

Retention

We retain information as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security and audit records (including SMS consent evidence for TCPA/A2P compliance). Suppression / opt-out records are kept so we do not contact you again by that channel after you opt out.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use strong unique passwords and protect your credentials.

Your choices and rights

• SMS: reply STOP to opt out; HELP for help. You may also email us to request removal from SMS lists.
• Email: use unsubscribe links or contact us.
• Account: request access, correction, or deletion of account data by emailing us (subject to legal retention needs, including consent audit trails and fraud prevention).
• Residents of certain states may have additional privacy rights; contact us to exercise them. We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights we are required to honor.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this Policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Material changes may be highlighted on the site or by notice. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Policy where permitted by law.
